Personally, I was able to get a lot of enjoyment out of the combat system and the story while completely ignoring the open world stuff (aside from necessary stuff like upgrading horses and buying specific items and weapons).
I'd definitely recommend it if only for the main campaign (the proper post-game stuff is way too grindy and annoying)ĭynasty Warriors 9 is gonna depend on your own tastes tbh. The game also has more traditional boss fights that can be challenging).
but because it's more ARPG it avoids that 'enemies are too easy' problem (the battles can get really hectic when lots of sub-bosses and mobs are on the field.
Dragon Quest Heroes 2 is more ARPG than Musou.
